The End is Nigh (Part Two)

Here I am, on a cold and dreary Sunday night working in the music building.

Friday and Saturday were the performances of the Musical Revue I was a part of! It turned out wonderfully, and I’m sad it’s over. I made new friends and cultivated even closer friendships with others. That’s what makes me really happy and proud to be involved with productions and performances like this. It brought together people from different majors and departments and gave us a chance to shine in ways we don’t normally experience!

My mom, friend, and boyfriend were able to make it to the last night’s performance too! It made me so happy and relieved since I had spent the past 24 hours or so wondering/worrying whether or not he would be able to make it. His arms around me feel more comfortable and perfect than I’ve ever felt with anyone else! Plus, I was able to introduce him to a lot of my close friends. Hopefully there will be more opportunities for him and I to spend time together with my friends from university.

After a pizza party in the green room, we went to a Karaoke Bar and had many good times. I sang Karaoke for the first time at a bar, “Come What May” with my friend, D. I don’t think my microphone was turned up enough, because I could barely hear myself. Oh well. I had lots of fun and enjoyed some Electric Blue Lemonade and a White Chocolate Heaven. Yum!

I didn’t get to bed until late. When I woke up, I did a double take at my clock, seeing nearly 2pm. I rarely sleep late like that! I suppose the performing and the party (and the drinks) knocked me out like a light. So I jumped out of bed, took a shower, and got started with my day.

Back to my list of what to do before I’m done with my final fall semester as an undergraduate!

  • I have a giant batch of math problems and homework to do for my College Algebra class. My last exam in the class is this Wednesday, and then I have the opportunity to re-take my lowest exam grade in an effort to raise my final semester grade. So that means I really really need to work my bum off. That’s what I’ll be working on after I finish writing this.
  • Tomorrow, along with the reading assignments in my textbook, I have a paper due for my Psychology class. I chose the movie, V for Vendetta and am writing a sort of psychological analysis of the character, V. It’s going to be awesome. That movie is one of my all-time favourites! What’s frightening though, is that our government and society today is getting closer and closer to being in reality what the film, comic book, and also the novel 1984 portrayed in fiction…

I think I should probably get to my homework now, though. Those two classes alone call for a lot of patience, hard work, and effort to finish in and of themselves. That means this shall be continued at another time… again.

For all of you studying hard for end of semester exams, I wish you the best of luck!

Until next time!
